Our Story
1865
Established in 1865 amidst the winds of change, this sacred institution has weathered trials and triumphs, emerging stronger with each chapter.
1946
Following its humble origins, the church was rebuilt in 1946 under the guidance of dedicated leaders such as Bro. James Bishop and Rev. M. W. Watson.
1965 -1966
In 1965, a devastating fire ravaged its sanctuaries, yet the congregation, led by Pastor Rev. Ottis Ellis, found solace in Deacon Eddie Lighter's home until its reconstruction in 1966, marked by heartfelt additions and renovations.
1998 - 2021
Under the leadership of Rev. Michael Womack, the church underwent a transformative renewal starting in 1998, witnessing the dawn of a new era with modern amenities and expanded facilities.

Seven Star Missionary Baptist Church today still stands strong. Since Pastor Greg White's arrival in October of 2021, the church has done and achieved milestones that are to help continue helping other's build and fortify their Christian journey.

2021 - Present Day

Community Building
Implementation of leadership classes, creation of new member orientation programs, and establishment of children’s church and Sunday school classes for both women and men.


Membership Growth
Welcoming 20+ new members since 2022, reflecting the growing appeal and outreach efforts of our church community.


Infrastructure Improvements
Upgraded sound system for better audio quality during services and events.

Accessibility Initiatives
Installation of handrails for accessibility at side doors and dedication memorial tags on pews to honor our members.
Administrative Enhancements
Implementation of an Excel-based computerized wages system and repairs in the finance office to streamline operations.
Technological Advancements
Introduction of Zoom meetings for remote participation, as well as online platforms for prayer calls, Bible studies, and worship services.
